Perfect curves. This is my new carry knife either out bushwhacking or at home maintaining the hacienda. White River knives are the best.

    Lightweight Powerhouse

I originally picked this up intending it to be used mostly as a bird, trout and rabbit knife. After two years of use, I have been very very impressed with this knife. Here are some quick pros/cons I've had, your mileage may very. The blade stock is super thin making this a laser for butchering and general kitchen use. It has quickly become my go-to skinning knife from squirrel to whitetail. It will also handle light duty camp chores and is decent wood carver. The handle has a great palm swell and feels great in my XL hands, the finger guard is also a welcome feature (the micarta isn't super grippy). Lastly, the weight on this knife is fantastic. It disappears on your belt or in your pack/pocket. Next are two things that didn't thrill me about this package. When sheathed, my blade can move around a decent bit and will rattle if knocked or bumped. The retention also feels weak, to me, and while my blade has never shaken free during normal use, it has popped out of the sheath when a sapling twig got stuck in one of the hollow handle pins. This is very disappointing because at this weight/size, this blade is a great candidate for a neck knife. It's also disappointing because I've had such great experiences with the White River Backpacker and FC 3.5. with no aftermarket sheath options too, I'm going to look at getting some custom kydex done. Overall, I love this knife. It's size/weight/shape make it an excellent hunting blade that can double up in the kitchen and around camp. While the sheath isn't ideal for me, it wouldn't stop me from recommending this knife to a buddy. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>!!Response from White River Knives: Hello Nate, and thank you for your feedback.
